When I travelled along the Felderbachstraße, I perceived it as an "excursion route" with lots of motorbikes. This is also supported by the landscape, which is already very appealing in the lower section, as the valley spreads out relatively far. I found the traffic annoying until I passed through Oberelfringhausen (around the halfway point), but then it eased off noticeably. Basically, the climb starts there with some nasty waves that don't look so nasty on the climb profile. However, you always have a great view. For this section alone, you can definitely award four stars in terms of scenery.
Bei meiner Befahrung habe ich die Felderbachstraße als "Ausflugsroute" wahrgenommen mit vielen Motorrädern. Dafür spricht auch die Landschaft, die bereits im unteren Bereich sehr ansprechend ist, da sich das Tal verhältnismäßig weit ausbreitet. Bis zur Durchfahrt in Oberelfringhausen (etwa zur Mitte) empfand ich den Verkehr als nervig, dann ließ er jedoch spürbar nach. Im Grunde beginnt dort auch der Anstieg mit einigen fiesen Wellen, die auf dem Anstiegsprofil gar nicht so fies aussehen. Man hat so jedoch auch immer wieder einen tollen Weitblick. Für diesen Abschnitt allein kann man landschaftlich betrachtet durchaus vier Sterne vergeben.
