Climb that allows you to bypass Sur les Vignes and (because of that?) apparently very popular with cyclists as I met quite a few. But that could also be because of the road surface as the asphalt is fine. Otherwise a nice percentage but nowhere extreme. In the beginning some green but for the rest you are between the houses.
Klim waarmee je de Sur les Vignes kan omzeilen en (daardoor?) blijkbaar erg populair bij wielrenners want ik kwam er heel wat tegen. Maar dat kan ook door het wegdek komen want het asfalt is prima. Verder een lekker percentage maar nergens extreem. In het begin nog wat groen maar voor de rest zit je tussen de huizen.
This is a nice climb if you have already had the steep walls a bit more to the south. Nice climb but not very special. A bit steeper at the top, but easy to get over.
Dit is lekker klimmen als je de steile muren iets meer naar het zuiden al hebt gehad. Leuke klim maar net erg speciaal. Bovenaan nog even wat steiler, maar goed overheen te komen.
It goes up a kilometre and that's about it. As for the location, you can easily take it with you when you drive back to the Netherlands from the Ardennes. You cycle through José, a hamlet that is not very special. Wide, quiet road.
Het gaat een kilometer omhoog en daarmee is het wel gezegd. Qua locatie kun je hem wel makkelijk meenemen als je vanuit de Ardennen terug naar Nederland rijdt. Je fietst door José, een gehuchtje dat niet erg bijzonder is. Brede, rustige weg.
Useful climb to cross on the way back to the Netherlands from the climbs around Chaudfontaine and Fraipont. Good road surface, not very difficult climb.
Handige klim om door te steken op de weg terug naar Nederland vanaf de beklimmingen rond Chaudfontaine en Fraipont. Prima wegdek, niet heel lastige klim.
