Very nice climb, there is some traffic but not too much. It starts in the shade but then as you go through the town it is exposed to the sun. Then it is shady all the way to the top making it a suitable climb to do in the summer
If you start the climb effectively from the village of Varezze. Which will presumably be the case for most cyclists, the climb is 1.7 km longer. You then do 1.7 km of the climb 'Colle del Giovo from Varazze before catching up on this climb. The climb is challenging but definitely doable. The first part of the climb is busy in terms of car traffic but after that you ride wonderfully quiet "alone".
Als je de klim effectief start vanuit het dorpje Varezze. Wat vermoedelijk voor de meeste fietsers zo zal zijn, is de klim 1,7 km langer. Je doet dan 1.7 km van de klim 'Colle del Giovo vanuit Varazze voor je inpikt op deze klim. De klim is een uitdaging maar zeker te doen. Het eerste deel van de klim is druk qua autoverkeer maar daarna rij je heerlijk rustig "alleen".
