The ascent begins with the most difficult section, but as you can ride into the climb at a relatively high speed, you only need a few strokes and you are on the plateau. The climb itself first leads through a residential area, then onto a country road, from the top of which you have a good view of the slag heap landscape. All in all, a fairly short but also unusually steep climb for this region.
Der Anstieg beginnt mit der schwierigsten Stelle, da man jedoch mit relativ viel Tempo in den Anstieg reinfahren kann braucht man nur ein paar Züge und man ist auf dem Plateau. Der Anstieg selbst führt zunächst durch ein Wohngebiet, anschließend geht es auf eine Landstraße, auf dessen Gipfel man einen guten Blick auf die Haldenlandschaft werfen kann. Alles in allem ein recht kurzer, aber auch ungewöhnlich steiler Anstieg für diese Region.
