Simply a terrible thing with basically constant double figures and the only plus is that it is not too long with just not 7 km but enough to literally and figuratively break down. Frederico Bahamontes, José Manuel Fuente, Jose Luis Abilleira, Andres Oliva, Alberto Fernandez and many other Spanish climbers found their playground there in the Tour of Asturias and Tour of Spain but for their helpers it was a calvary. This climb with its terribly steep parts seems to bring you to the end of the world. On the way, except for a few cows and wild horses, you won't encounter a living soul. In an oasis of peace and quiet you climb to the top. A must for those who like masochistic tendencies!

Tough little climb. It's doesn't look much as you're riding on the main road, but you turn off and onto Ermita, past the sign showing the climb details and then head up. It's very varied and twists around, so you can't get into a rhythm, and the surface is not great - pretty sure this is just for tractors and farm traffic. Tackling this at over 10% the whole way is a task!

At the top it's a dead end and a few nice views.

With peaks up to 20% and steep turns, it is a must for those who love tough but not too long climbs. Make sure you can push small enough because even for experienced climbers it takes a while before you reach the top and just before the end there is a terrible km and piece.
