This is the last stretch of the Let de Stigter trail, which as a whole is definitely recommended (Not so much for the inclines but for the scenery and the often twisty trail. Can be crowded with "less attentive cyclists" though). Again, this section is a fine gravel path which runs through beautiful scenery. Nice views to the right in the first section. In the beginning a zigzag fence which is still manageable by bike. Not so with the swing gate at the end, which forces you to dismount - a consequence of the beautiful nature you cycle through.

A very nice alternative to the Elsterberg from Elst via the Veenendaalsestraatweg. Lovely quiet climb that starts where the Driftweg turns into the Let de Stigterpad. From there on, it goes over excellent gravel.
Nowhere does it get really hard, but the bends and the surroundings still give the feeling of a real climb. The only drawback is the small gate at the top, which makes it necessary to get off the pedals for a while...
