Climb that never gets really steep. Therefore good to do as a warm-up or if you have a lesser day. Lots of traffic and little space for cyclists, though. This makes it not my favourite. The views are nice and descent to Cadaques is nice, fairly clear turns.
Beklimming die nooit echt steil wordt. Daardoor goed te doen als opwarmer of als je een mindere dag hebt. Wel veel verkeer en weinig ruimte voor fietsers. Daardoor is deze niet mijn favoriet. De uitzichten zijn mooi en afdaling naar Cadaques is leuk, vrij overzichtelijke bochten.
Nice climb. but busy traffic (up and down) so you in descent continuously have to sit in the brakes; road (up and down) to port de la selva is much quieter and in my opinion more beautiful; everything and everyone wants to Cadaques and home of Dali, which I also understand. Very picturesque.
lekkere klim. wel druk verkeer (omhoog en omlaag) waardoor je in afdaling continu in de remmen moet zitten; weg (omhoog en omlaag) naar port de la selva is veel rustiger en wat mij betreft mooier; alles en iedereen wil naar Cadaques en naar huis van Dali , wat ik ook wel weer begrijp. Erg pittoresk.
Nice climb, very good road surface. Last km can be done on the outside, rises gently from the viewpoints. Can be very hot in summer: hardly any shade, no possibility to get supplies until Port de la Selva or Cadaques. Bring plenty of drinks! You remain on a plateau until the junction to one of the two coastal villages. Fast descents. Also back from there the climbs are pleasant. Downhill watch out after sharp bends for standing traffic at crossroads of bus or truck !
Mooie klim, zeer goed wegdek. Laatste km kan op buitenblad, loopt nog zachtjes op vanaf de uitkijkplaatsen. Kan érg warm zijn in de zomer : nauwelijks schaduw, geen enkele bevoorradingsmogelijkheid tot Port de la Selva of Cadaques. Voldoende drank meenemen ! Je blijft nog even op een plateau rijden tot de splitsing naar een van beide kustdorpen. Snelle afdalingen. Ook terug van daar zijn de klimmen aangenaam. Bergaf oppassen na scherpe bochten voor stilstaand verkeer bij kruising van bus of vrachtwagen !
