Scenically very pretty route with both agricultural areas with views, a hollow road or along houses that mark the slope nicely and with quite a bit of spice in it, especially at the beginning. Sometimes some stones on the road but the asphalt was mostly in good condition. Just enjoying this climb without really having to go into the red.
Landschappelijk erg fraaie route met zowel agrarisch gebied met uitzicht, een holle weg of langs huizen die de helling mooi aangeven en waar zeker in het begin ook nog flink wat pit in zit. Soms wel wat steentjes op de weg maar het asfalt was meestal in goede staat. Gewoon genieten deze klim zonder echt in het rood te hoeven gaan.
If you're busy around Remouchamps and the Redoute, and don't fancy the Thier of Nonceveux, this is its friendly sister climb. Steep, without getting into absurd ％, quiet and nice views at the end.
Als je in de omgeving van Remouchamps en de Redoute bezig bent, en als je geen trek hebt in de Thier van Nonceveux, dan is dit de vriendelijke zuster klim. Steil, zonder in absurde ％ te komen, rustig en mooi uitzicht op het einde.
Super fun climb that takes you from the 'pre-Ardennes' around Aywaille/Remouchamps to the deep heart of the Ardennes around Spa. After the climb you can continue to climb above 500m. Nice road, certainly not too busy.
Superleuke beklimming die je vanaf de 'voor-Ardennen' rond Aywaille/Remouchamps tot in het diepe hartje van de Ardennen rond Spa brengt. Na de beklimming kan je blijven doorklimmen tot boven de 500m. Leuk wegje, zeker niet te druk.
Quiet climb where you will most likely not encounter any wrong turns. The road surface is more than decent and the centre of gravity is in the first part of the climb between the houses. When you leave the houses behind you, you still have to overcome the heaviest percentage, but then it levels off and you gradually reach the beautiful rural plateau. If you continue all the way, you will come to the busier Rue de Spa, which is a less pleasant climbing experience, and it goes up a bit more.
Rustige klim waarbij je naar alle waarschijnlijkheid geen verkeerd zult tegenkomen. Het wegdek is meer dan degelijk en het zwaartepunt ligt in het eerste stuk van de klim tussen de huizen. Wanneer je deze achter je laat en moet je nog even het zwaarste percentje overwinnen, maar daarna vlakt het af en kom je stilaan op het mooie landelijke plateau. Als je helemaal doorrijdt kom je op de drukkere Rue de Spa, da's een minder leuke klimervaring, en loopt het nog een stukje omhoog.

Beautiful climb, by the "world famous" La Redoute gets this climb in oblivion.
But definitely worthwhile to cycle up it instead of the unattractive Redoute.
Mooie klim, door de "wereldberoemde" La Redoute raakt deze beklimming in de vergetelheid.
Maar beslist de moeite waard om deze is op te fietsen i.p.v. de landelijk weinig aantrekkelijke Redoute.
