Nice climb that is not too steep. Early in the morning only oncoming traffic driving towards the "tourist" south of the island, mostly locals. Traffic driving "along" uphill can be counted on one hand.
At the start in Santiago del Teide some roadworks but as a cyclist you won't be bothered by them.
Pay attention towards the end of the climb after the short descent from Puerto de Erjos, the right-hand bend is perpendicular and sometimes there is some gravel.
Fijne klim die niet al te stijl is. Vroeg in de ochtend alleen tegemoetkomend verkeer wat richting het "toeristische" Zuiden van het eiland rijdt, veelal locals. Verkeer wat "meerijdt" omhoog is op 1 hand te tellen.
Aan het begin in Santiago del Teide enkele wegwerkzaamheden maar daar heb je als fietser geen last van.
Let tegen het einde van de klim op na het stukje afdalen vanaf Puerto de Erjos, de bocht naar rechts is haaks en er ligt soms wat gravel.
