The well-paved path winds up nicely through the forest. Contrary to the statistics, I found this side of the climb much harder than from Noordwijkerhout, to the extent you can speak of 'heaviness' then.

An excellent bike path through the forest edge between dune and field. Very short on the pedals and you're up.
