One of the finest climbs in Eryri (Snowdonia). The ride in from Penygroes / Nantlle is magnificent with steep mountains on either side closing in around you as the valley narrows. Ahead of you is the prominent rocky pyramid of Clogwynygarreg at the head of the pass. There are also views through the pass to Yr Wyddfa beyond. One of the finest climbs in Eryri (Snowdonia). The ride in from Penygroes / Nantlle is magnificent with steep mountains on either side closing in around you as the valley narrows. Ahead of you is the prominent rocky pyramid of Clogwynygarreg at the head of the pass. There are also views through the pass to Yr Wyddfa beyond. The steepest section is up the headwall to the top of the pass but it's a steady climb in a great position. Dyffyn Nantlle is off the beaten track and doesn't suffer the level of vehicle traffic that the main routes do. A must do climb - you wont be disappointed (as long as the weather's kind).
