... read more

A very beautiful little mountain, from Benicassim you can cycle to the foot on a sheltered cycle path. The start is shady, the asphalt is perfect and kilometre markings indicate the remaining metres in altitude. About 300 metres before the end, there is a very nice viewpoint with seating and a view of the Mediterranean. Currently (November 2025) it is not possible to continue to the radio masts as the road is being resurfaced.

A beautiful climb in a beautiful area. This is definitely the easier side. It isn't a must, but it is a beautiful climb if you are even remotely in the area. What a scenic route in a scenic area.

The desierto de las palmas is a climb that should be on every climber's bucket list. What a beautiful climb this is. Plenty of views and climbing on the blackest and smoothest road of your career. At every kilometre there is a sign with the gradient for the next kilometre. There is little traffic, but now and then some competition from a fast Spanish fellow-cyclist. The climb is not very long and steep, but if you go for it, you can have a lot of fun. Nature is beautiful, do this!
