Due to unfortunately having to shorten the route back to Maspalomas, we took this instead of the Valley of Tears. Certainly no regrets. From Tejeda the gradient varies in steepness, but never really difficult. The views are beautiful and the road surface perfect. Just outside Ayacata you reach the "top" and descend to the village. Because of the siesta the restaurants were closed, luckily on the descent over the GC-605 near Cruz de San Antonio I found a stall with supplies.
