It is preferable to climb this pass called Coomanaspig, which is part of the Skellig Ring, via this side. While this side too is steep, that steepness is interrupted by some nice hairpin turns. At the top, phenomenal views await. Descend carefully and take the turn-off halfway up to see the Cliffs of Kerry. Can be crowded with tourists there, though, so watch out for that too.

Ook deze zijde is weliswaar steil, maar die steilheid wordt onderbroken door een aantal mooie haarspeldbochten. Boven wacht een fenomenaal uitzicht. Voorzichtig afdalen en halverwege de afslag nemen om de Cliffs of Kerry te bezichtigen. Kan wel druk zijn met toeristen daar, dus pas ook daarom goed op.
