Straight up the side of the Quantock Hills this one goes, no messing about with bends and whatnot. I had the misfortune to ride this one with panniers in 1999 I think. Road surface was good then and probably is now as it is used for competitive hill climbs. This hill also has the distinction of being the location of the women's world record for Everesting. Illi Gardner rode rapidly up and down it 59 times to accumulate 8848m of climbing in just 8 hours and 3 minutes. Doesn't bear thinking about!
