Even buiten Chiavenna, in Piuro aan het begin van de Malojapasroute, de grote weg links verlaten. Van bij de start stevig op de trappers door de bewoning van Prosto, Nadien via enkele haarspeldbochten het dorp boven uitklimmen naar doodlopend hoger gelegen eindpunt Crana.
Onderweg prachtig zicht op de vallei en de Acquafraggia watervallen even verder. Het prima asfalt stopt op een parking met een welgekomen waterbron want het was moordend warm (juni 2025).
