Last week I did it 2x, the first time during a climbing time trial and the second time after a hard ride of 140km. We did it last year, our hotel was on top of the climb. Quite a tough climb, quite steep, but nice. When descending, watch out for 1 blind curve

Heavier than expected, many steep parts
Just wanted to do it since our chalet was on it, just after dinner. But it was a mistake.

Very nice view of gerardmer above.

Our apartment was practically next to this climb. On the last day we quickly decided to go up here. That was not easy, but still just came up. Steep climb, fun if you want to do an effort up

14-07-2018: Not particularly, but heavy and good asphalt. Pay attention at the fork in the climb (keep left). Climb goes through a residential area.

Last week I did it 2x, the first time during a climbing time trial and the second time after a hard ride of 140km. Whether you go full speed up or at a slow pace after a hard ride this monster remains tough, especially after the road splits and you go left, it's really heavy! I must admit that after the climb time trial I almost threw up, so hard did I give! A good road surface something you rarely have with such a heavy climb!

Going to the Vosges within 2 weeks; hopefully the weather will be good in this often rainy, but beautiful (cycling) area.
I would like to include this steep climb in my rides, anyone have tips on how to find this climb in the centre of Gérardmer?

Great fun climb from the village to the ski area. There are some very tough sections and despite the fact that it was only 2 km, I was pretty exhausted at the end (I'm not a top talent ...).

Steep pile where you must be prepared for, because it is quite steep after turning off the main street. Who has enough air left at the top can follow the signs "B1". Then follows a kilometer or 2.5 at 7 to 7.5% through the forest and ski area after which the descent brings you back to Gerardmer.
