The climb starts very nicely (and when you approach it, you can already see part of it) from a beautiful stream valley where it goes up nicely with a tough (sign 13％) bit in it. However, once you get to the main road, there is a long, long section with mainly straight stretches where you seem to progress only slowly. Little traffic though so that makes a difference but the alternative west of the main road is a lot more attractive.
De klim begint heel leuk (en bij het aanrijden zie je dit deel van de klim ook al deels liggen) vanuit een mooi beekdal waarbij het lekker omhoog gaat met een stevig (bord 13％) stukje er in. Als je echter op de grote baan komt volgt een lang, lang stuk met voornamelijk rechte stukken waar je maar langzaam lijkt te vorderen. Wel weinig verkeer dus dat scheelt maar het alternatief ten westen van de grote weg is een stuk aantrekkelijker.
The first part through the forest to the big road is a nice part with a steep section. Then a long straight road which is not really steep anywhere, not too much traffic, but the traffic that is there has a good pace. My advice, take the adjacent alternative route; no traffic and easy to do. You make a lot of altimeters.
Het eerste stuk door het bos tot aan de "grote baan" is een leuk stuk met een steil stukje. Daarna een lange rechte weg die nergens echt steil wordt, niet al te veel verkeer, maar het verkeer dat er is heeft er goed de gang in. Mijn advies, neem de naast gelegen alternatieve route; geen verkeer en prima te doen. Je maakt wel veel hoogtemeters.
