Nice long climb from Stavelot. Good road surface and not too busy. As soon as you leave the built-up area of Stavelot, you are treated to beautiful views to your left. When the road bends slightly to the left, you have to pedal hard because La Bergerie is a tough calf bite. It is clearly not a through road, as the tarmac is a lot less. Still, this version is highly recommended over the alternative over the larger road because it continues via a large blind bend where cars can sometimes surprise you. And what is more, on La Bergerie the view is even more spectacular. You then continue via a few hamlets where the gradient is pleasant.

Mooie lange klim vanuit Stavelot.
