Côte Albert Lambert is no picnic, although it's on the banks of the Seine and winds its way between the pretty limestone cliffs of the village of La Bouille, the main thing you remember about climbing this hill is how difficult it is: the first 300 metres at 17% with perhaps as much as 24% on the bend. In the middle there are perhaps a few metres of flats. However, this isn't enough to take the wind out of the sails as we head for the last 200 metres, which is almost as daunting. . It's worth noting that the climb is signposted as a one-way street in both directions, so it's officially off-limits to bikes, although you're unlikely to come across any. I would recommend this climb to anyone who can enjoy the steepest climbs. It is in fact the second hardest in absolute terms in Normandy. But this one is really worth the diversions.
