Did this climb (bottom section before Corney slightly different) on a tour in the Lake District. Like all climbs here there are solid steep sections in it, but not comparable to, say, Hardknott pass. Road surface fine. Not too wide road, with not too much traffic that can drive briskly. Nice about this climb is the beautiful view of the English landscape with walls, hedges and heather, and the Irish Sea and on a clear day the Isle of Man in the distance.
