Two climbs start from Colzate, one goes to Monte Cavlera and is terrible, one of the hardest in the Bergamo area, the other goes to the Colle di Barbata, a little less hard but not to be underestimated. You start off immediately in double figures for 2 km and arrive at the sanctuary of San Patrizio, the only one in Italy dedicated to the Irish saint. It is very beautiful to see and from the portico there is a wonderful view over the valley. Then you continue for another kilometre, always in double figures... the higher you go, the more the valley opens up and towards the end it becomes very beautiful with green meadows and panoramic views over the valleys.
A beautiful climb with virtually no traffic that leads to an enchanting place, if done on a mountain bike it makes for a nice loop.
Challenging climb at the beginning but short and the views finish off the effort well
Interesting climb on a road with no traffic. Unfortunately, being closed-road, it does not allow for round trips. The sanctuary of St Patrick and its frescoes are worth seeing.
