When you are in the region, you can take various routes with varied climbs. The roads are often good, although the narrower mountain roads always require a keen eye for bends when descending. There is always rubbish on the road. The climb is a real runner, for experienced riders off-sheet and keep pressure on the pedals. The surroundings are quiet and fresh, in summer it is dry but the vegetation is varied. The nice thing about the climb is that everyone can cycle comfortably, you don't run away from your wife or mate for tens of minutes and even a bit of holding back does you good because you can then take in the scenery. In the distance at the top are the windmills and they are a good aiming point. Descending from the top brings you soon to the next climb.
