Years ago, I once cycled with a bike full of luggage from Rotterdam to Mataró in 18 days, and Coll Formic was also the last col above 1000m on the last day of cycling. And that so close to the coast.
The climb is very nice and you go up in a gentle snaking fashion. The percentages are very regular and before you know it, you're at the top. The landscape is really fantastic.
There is a restaurant at the top, but the few times I have been on Coll Formic it was always closed.
