In general, a climb that climbs nicely at a leisurely pace, with longer sections that you can feel comfortable pedalling on the big plate.

The Coll d'Ordino opens with a stretch of between 7 and 8 per cent, but that stretch does not really last long. After a while, you get strips of false flat to 5 or 6 per cent. From kilometre 4 onwards, things get a bit tricky: here you encounter a short wall of around 13 per cent. Fortunately, this stretch is only a few hundred metres long and the road then flattens out a bit more to the moderate average of around 6 per cent.

A few kilometres before the summit you can rest on your laurels: the road descends at an average of 3 per cent for a good kilometre. Have no fear of encountering a giant wall afterwards to reach the summit: the maximum gradient just before the tpp peaks at just under 10 per cent.

Fine climb, which is a bit irregular. The hairpin bends are definitely an added bonus!
