Nice alternative in Valtournanche to the usual busy road from Chatillon to Cervinia. At Torgnon, I also recommend the diversions to Col Panthaleon (although the slope from Chambave is the more interesting and classic one). From a belvedere, you can see the entire valley to the north with the Matterhorn in the background. The ascent to Torgnon can be disturbed by local and tourist traffic: the road is wide and exposed to the sun; it does not have extreme gradients but is on the whole constant in average gradient, except for a few short stretches at 10%. Beautiful views over the valley towards Chatillon. After crossing the section in the village of Torgnon (upper part of the village), the climb becomes less tough and the views become much more interesting until the meadowy basin of Collet where the tarmac road ends near a panoramic refreshment bar. The view is very beautiful over the southern part of the valley: on the right you can see the road and Col San Panthaleon
