What a beast! This climb actually "only" has a length of 1.1 km at an average of 13.3 %. So don't miss out on the average of only 8.5% on Climbfinder because that includes a piece of descent 🤷🏻♂️. The bad road surface with lots of bumps, pits and some gravel here and there makes it even more challenging. I rode up this road that day (after already a lot of km's in my legs) at an average of only 8 km/h 😳... But it can be faster 🥳! Those who want to ... read more

First 600m super steep then fortunately it flattens out to 15%

Enormous... you can do it for fun, but you won't get much enjoyment out of it because it's very, very steep...
By comparison, the striped one looks easy...

A hellish climb, even if it doesn't last very long. A little scare, when the front wheel lifts up sometimes! That's when you have to be careful :-) Road in very average condition! Bracket 34x30, it was hard! I went back down to Gerardmer by the D 486, because braking was not guaranteed due to the gravel and the steepness of the slope in places. This climb reminds me of the Col de la Loze in Savoie. To be done if you have the level and the right gear!

Those who want to grab the KOM on Strava will have to ride faster than 12 km/h.
Good luck 😉 !

Succes 😉!
