A nice climb, with several panoramas on the Lac du Bourget.
The asphalt is generally very good, but it's a rather busy road, which I only recommend in off-peak hours, in order to enjoy the pleasant slope and the few bends without breathing in the exhaust fumes!
The descent to Jongieux offers a rather spectacular crossing of the vineyards, although the road deteriorates quite seriously.
Finally, beware of those who don't know the area well; the road to take is not necessarily intuitive, and you will have to pay attention to all the signs and at each intersection, especially at the roundabout on the tunnel road.
Do this if you are in the area and are looking for an easy tour of the lake!
Une ascension sympathique, qui bénéficie de plusieurs panoramas sur le lac du Bourget.
L'asphalte est globalement très bon, mais c'est une route plutôt fréquentée, que je ne conseille qu'en heures creuses, afin de profiter de la pente agréable et des quelques virages sans respirer les gaz d'échappement !
La descente vers Jongieux offre une traversée des vignes assez spectaculaire, bien que la route se dégrade assez sérieusement.
Enfin, attention à ceux qui ne connaissent pas bien le coin ; la route à emprunter n'est pas forcément intuitive, et il faudra faire attention à tous les panneaux et à chaque intersection, notamment au rond-point de la route du tunnel.

First part from Bourget du Lac is via busy road and not steep. From the busy roundabout it goes steeper up and there is slightly less traffic. You have at several places a beautiful view over Lac Du Bourget and Aix-Les-Bains. Especially in the curves the view is worthwhile. Once at the top there is little to see except for a parking (where many hikers park their car) and forest. So you can start your descent fairly quickly. The last part is over new asphalt.
Eerste gedeelte vanaf Bourget du Lac is via drukke weg en niet steil. Vanaf de drukke rotonde gaat het steiler omhoog en is er iets minder verkeer. Je hebt op verschillende plaatsen een mooi uitzicht over Lac Du Bourget en Aix-Les-Bains. Zeker in de bochten is het uitzicht de moeite. Eenmaal boven is er weinig te zien behalve een parking (waar veel wandelaars hun auto zetten) en bos. Je kan dus redelijk vlug de afdaling inzetten. Het laatste gedeelte is over nieuw asfalt.
Lower half to the roundabout I would skip if possible, because of the (much) car traffic on the same road. But it will be a nice, quiet climb from the roundabout, because all cars go through the tunnel. Because you go up parallel to the lake on the right side of the road, you have beautiful views over the Lac de Bourget and Aix-les-Bains. Upper half has some nice (hairpin) bends with here and there a viewpoint. Asphalt is climbing fine, descending many patches of new asphalt with here and there some rolling, so be careful, but fine to do.
Onderste helft tot de rotonde zou ik indien mogelijk overslaan, vanwege het (vele) autoverkeer op dezelfde weg. Maar wordt wel een leuke, rustige klim vanaf de rotonde, omdat alle auto's door de tunnel gaan. Omdat je parallel aan het meer omhoog gaat aan de goede kant van de weg, heb je prachtig uitzicht over het Lac de Bourget en Aix-les-Bains. Bovenste helft heeft een paar leuke (haarspeld)bochten met hier en daar uitzichtpunt. Asfalt is klimmend prima, afdalend veel lapjes nieuw asfalt met hier en daar wat rolsplit, dus oppassen, maar prima te doen.
Nice climb and to use as a warm-up for the bigger brother Mont du Chat. Good tarmac but lots of traffic.
In terms of percentages not much to report, the climb is "exactly" as Climbfinder describes it. Just before the top is a panorama from which you can see the Lac de Bourget. The summit itself is a bit hidden between the trees.
Leuke klim en als opwarmer te gebruiken voor de grotere broer Mont du Chat. Goed asfalt maar wel veel verkeer.
Qua percentages niet zoveel te melden, de klim is "precies" zoals Climbfinder het omschrijft. Vlak voor de top is een panorama van waaruit je het Lac de Bourget goed kan zien. De top zelf zit een beetje verstopt tussen de bomen.
Nice climb. Watch out at the roundabout. It is a bit busier there. The view on the lake is beautiful. But the view on the other side is probably even more beautiful as it meanders through the vineyards.
Leuke klim. Even uitkijken aan de rotonde. Daar is het wat drukker. Uitzicht op het meer is prachtig. Maar het uitzicht aan de andere kant is wellicht nog mooier al slingerend door de wijngaarden.
