A nice climb. Not too steep. A climb like I like them, so one you can enjoy, one that never gets boring and doesn't really tire you, even though there are a few nasty bits in it. If you come from Entrevaux, instead of going straight through to the col du Buis you take a left onto the D10 towards Castellet/La Rochette. A beautiful, rugged landscape as far as the eye can see. That D10 is very narrow. Oncoming traffic cannot cross, so one always has to pull over. Now, that is not immediately a problem, as I did not encounter a car on the entire climb, and the descent back. The asphalt is of good quality, though.
The Serre climb is always hairy with its 13% but from Castellet, the pass is hyper regular and is very pleasant to climb! Probably my favourite of the area!
