It's a pleasant road, much appreciated by motorcyclists in particular...
The gradient is really gentle. For many of us, this will be more of a stage between Castellane and Entrevaux than a pass on our bucket list.
This is not where we'll make our best memories of the Alpes de Haute-Provence. Note that the other side is more impressive, with a pretty rock face.

Climbed on 4 -10-2023 from St.André-les-Alpes. Longer approach but fun because you ride for a bit along the Verdon, which sometimes widens into a lake. At least....when there is water in it/flowing. It was now a very dry summer so the water level was very low. 3 tunnels on the road so think lights. After St Julien quieter and a regular easy climb to the col. Views of the Verdon make it nice. Nice cycling area around here though and not too hot in summer. Inde winter sometimes bad weather so inquire about road conditions then!

The Toutes Aures is a motorway, both for bikes and cars because, the connecting road between Nice and Digne-les-Bains. But don't worry, the road is wide enough and has good tarmac. There is no bicycle lane, but generally car drivers are courteous. However, it is a road you really have to pass if you want to go to Gorges de Daluis or Col de la Cayolle, unless you want to bypass this road via a few extra cols. The climb itself is not spectacular. It is more of a runner with some sections of slightly more than false flat. On the descent that follows towards Entrevaux, you ride iet before the village of Rouaine under the Roche Percée, where the road is carved through the rocks.... Nice.

Mooi.
