I confirm dLH's comment: more interesting than the south side. The route alternates some sections with gradients between 6 and 8％ and flats and even a descent to Wangenbourg.
The road is in good condition and generally quiet.
Views of the surrounding area are more open (around Wangenbourg), even if the end takes place in woodland.

Much nicer than the other side, big gradients at the beginning and more rolling at the end. Few cars and a few motorbikes, nothing disturbing
