Blessed climb, never gets really steep and the road winds its way up so it never gets boring. Part of La Cannibale from Sporta Ventoux. Here you can usually tell who has trained enough for the challenge and who hasn't as some have the acid in their legs there anyway. At the top, the view is phenomenal and the descent on the other side is magnificent. In many ways, the climbs in this region are much nicer than the Ventoux. The Ventoux is of course more challenging and has great views at the top, but in terms of pure cycling pleasure, the cols that lie 'behind' the Ventoux are much nicer in my opinion.
Zalige klim, wordt nooit echt steil en de weg slingert zich een weg omhoog waardoor het nooit verveelt. Onderdeel van La Cannibale van Sporta Ventoux. Hier kan je meestal zien wie er voldoende getraind heeft voor de uitdaging en wie niet gezien sommigen daar toch al het zuur in de benen hebben. Op de top is het uitzich fenomenaal en de afdaling aan de andere kant is magnifiek. De klimmen in deze streek zijn op veel manieren veel mooier dan de Ventoux. De Ventoux is natuurlijk uitdagender en heeft een mooi uitzicht op de top, maar qua puur fietsplezier zijn de cols die 'achter' de Ventoux liggen mijn inziens veel mooier.
Shorter and spicier than its counterpart on the west side, but never overly tough in itself. Of course, it is always a function of what you already have in your legs. The scenery, like the rest of the Drôme and, on closer inspection, Provence, is peerless. This area is a real cycling paradise because of the many short and slightly longer climbs.
Korter en pittiger dan zijn tegenhanger aan de westkant, maar op zich nooit overdreven zwaar. Uiteraard is het altijd in functie van wat je al in de benen hebt. De omgeving is, zoals de rest van de Drôme en bij nader inzicht de Provence weergaloos. Deze omgeving is een echt fietsparadijs door de vele korte en iets langere beklimmingen.
The highest col in the area with 1302m. From the east it climbs from Laborel through the forest with irregular curves. The higher you get the more beautiful views you get on the surrounding mountains and the higher Alps in the distance. The area is bit Provence and a bit Alps. The climb itself is not very heavy and runs nicely to the top. At the top also views of Mont Ventoux.
De hoogste col in de omgeving met 1302m. Vanaf het oosten klim deze vanuit Laborel door het bos omhoog met onregelmatige bochten. Hoe hoger je komt des te meer mooie uitzichten krijg je op de omliggende bergen en de hogere Alpen in de verte. Het gebied is beetje Provence en een beetje Alpen. De klim zelf is niet heel zwaar en loopt lekker door naar boven. Bovenop ook uitzicht op de Mont Ventoux.
