Quite a vicious climb that, with about 60 km in the legs and cols like the chaudiere, for example, I had underestimated a bit, with the indicated 5.2% average on the depart's sign. My odometer indicated sections of 9-10 per cent that went on for quite a long time. Also, this climb is full in the sun so even at 10 o'clock it was about 30 degrees there in the sun. A nice climb though but irregular, not my favourite. Descent lots of pebbles so not really a good reward. In contrast, the descent of the col de lescou that follows after a few 100 metres of climbing is lovely.

Nice and steady climb that is not too hard. Funny thing is that the steepest part is in the kilometre after the steepest kilometre. So when you think you've had the steepest part, it is still to come.
Furthermore, beautiful views during the climb and also on the top to the other side.
