Very suitable for warming up for Mont Ventoux: start at Bédouin, then over the Col de la Madeleine to Malaucene and then you're off :-)

We stayed in Sault and drove up the Mont Ventoux from Malaucène on the first day. For this, we logically passed the beautiful gorges and of course this col de la Madeleine.

The climb is of course very small and you do not even realise that you have started. But it is a nice climb and this way, you can already warm yourself up a little for what is to come...

In short, a nice aperitif.

Next to Ventoux, this isn't really what you'd call a climb, but nice and pleasant and very quiet roads. Did this from Bedoin to loop to Malaucène to tackle the Giant of Provence!

Ridden this climb on t july the day of the TdF. Nice short but beautiful climb. Is not much if you have to climb the Ventoux but best to pick up if you're in the area.

Not to be confused with the "big" Madeleine in the Alps. From Bedoin you can go to Malaucene via the Ventoux or this col.
The road is busy in rush hour and otherwise fairly quiet. If you leave Bedoin you just shoot down and then it goes up in waves. Beautiful views towards the Dentelles de Montmirail and over the orchards below.
When I went here the first time with the team bus to Malaucene it was to refuel, the tanker hadn't been in Bedoin yet so there was no diesel and when you drive here with a burning light you don't feel very comfortable ...
For me this is a short ride if I have cycled a cingle or worse the day before, just relax, light pressure on the legs and back to Bedoin for a croissant and cappucino at Phil's.
