A fun climb out of Queige - steep but quiet roads with plenty of shade from the afternoon sun. The town of Queige has a library and an innovative water feature.

nice short climb on a quiet road. there’s a col sign at the top where there is no view but it opens onto a lovely meadow. other side up from ugine is prettier however.

My very first pass after I moved from Bourges to Albertville, at the time I didn't really have the gearing adapted to the mountains and the high gradients and I found it horribly hard and even put my feet down at the hardest part.
Today I'm 23 years older but I've become more experienced and it's getting better.
To come back to the pass, it is short but still quite difficult at the top, you can switch to Ugine in a fast descent, but you have to be careful.

Done before Arpettaz. Not really difficult, not very long pass from Queige. The road is correct.

Nice warm-up for when you want to do longer cols, gradual climb where you are quickly at the top. Perfect road surface with little traffic.
