What a beauty of a climb. 12 km long . The first 4 km are false flat but from Luthe starts a gem of a climb with the last 8 km maybe 100 turns because nowhere is there a straight stretch of 100 m which gives you a feeling of a super col hidden among the greenery with a steep mountainside on the right and the depth on the left. So the first 4 km are slightly uphill . On entering Rocher there is the first steep section. From here on it goes nowhere below 6％. The next village has a new stretch above 10％ and the last 3 climbs are steep with about 8.5％ on average. As the descent to Jaujac was barely rideable due to the construction of a new road surface return right and the descent was super technical but delightful. I gave this col 5 stars because of its winding climb and beautiful scenery. The road is narrow for the last 8 km, un3.5 metres and almost traffic-free.
Wat een pracht van een klim. 12 km lang . De eerste 4 km zijn vals plat maar vanaf Luthe begint een pareltje van een beklimming met de laatste 8 km misschien wel 100 bochten want nergens is er een recht stuk van 100 m wat je een gevoel geeft van een super col verstopt tussen het groen met aan de rechterkant een steile bergwand en links de diepte. De eerste 4 km zijn dus lichtoplopend . Bij het binnenrijden van Rocher is er het eerste steile stuk. Vanaf hier gaat het nergens onder de 6％. Het volgende dorpje kent een nieuw stuk boven de 10％ en de laatste 3 klim zijn steil met ongeveer 8,5％ gemiddeld. Omdat de afdaling naar Jaujac amper berijdbaar was door de aanleg van een nieuw wegdek rechtsom terug en de afdaling was super technisch maar heerlijk. Ik heb deze col 5 sterren gegeven vanwege zijn slingerende klim en prachtige omgeving. De weg is de laatste 8 km smal, onge3,5 meter en haast verkeersvrij.
Super nice climb, with nice quiet roads and good road surface. Was a lot harder than I expected beforehand, but definitely worth it!
Super mooie klim, met mooie rustige wegen en prima wegdek. Was een stuk pittiger dan ik op voorhand verwachtte, maar zeker de moeite waard!

Nice climb, there was quite some wind (against), also on top of the col, not so much car traffic.
Leuke klim, er was behoorlijk wat wind (tegen), ook bovenop de col, niet zoveel autoverkeer
Very long climb, with of course nice views along the way. Because the gradient is not very high, it is easy to take a picture along the way. The descent to Jaujac is a bit of a challenge with the many curves and not very good road surface.
erg lange klim, met uiteraard weer mooi uitzicht onderweg. Omdat het stijgingspercentage niet erg hoog is kan er makkelijk een fotootje maken onderweg. De afdaling naar Jaujac is wel opletten met de vele bochten en niet al te best wegdek.
