Beautiful little climb not dissimilar to many around us in east Belgium. Some short steep sections making it tougher than it look on paper
As part of a 75-kilometre lap from Bedoin, did this climb after Mont Ventoux with descent to Malaucène. Great tarmac, beautiful scenery, nice and quiet, nice views. actually like all 'small' climbs around the Ventoux. Just lovely cycling, not too tough, especially after the Ventoux, but still sometimes with short steep bits of 8-10 per cent. Reminded me a bit of climbs in the Ardennes and the Black Forest.
At the summit, a friendly hiker did want to take a photo of me.
Als onderdeel van een ronde van 75 kilometer vanuit Bedoin deze klim gedaan na Mont Ventoux met afdaling naar Malaucène. Prima asfalt, mooie omgeving, lekker rustig, mooie vergezichten. eigenlijk zoals alle 'kleine' klimmetjes rondom de Ventoux. Gewoon heerlijk om te fietsen, niet al te zwaar, zeker na de Ventoux, maar soms toch met korte steile stukje van 8-10 procent. Deed mij een beetje denken aan klimmen in de Ardennen en het Zwarte Woud.
Op de top wilde een vriendelijke wandelaarster wel een foto van mij maken.

Nice gentle climb, ideal as a warm-up for heavier work (Ventoux). Runs well and not crowded. Nice views of the Ventoux and Les Dentelles.

During a warm-up ride the day before Sporta's Cannibale. Definitely not forcing it. Nice climb and ditto twisty descent. Beautiful surroundings. You find everything : from the Scots pine to the olive tree and from the vineyards to the rock formations of the " Dentelles de Montmirail). Worth a nice diversions.
Tijdens een opwarmingsrit daags voor de Cannibale van Sporta. Zeker niet forceren dus. Leuke klim en dito bochtige afdaling. Mooie omgeving. Je vindt er alles : van de grove den tot de olijfboom en van de wijngaarden tot de rotsformaties van de " Dentelles de Montmirail). Een leuke omweg waard.
As a warm-up before you do the Ventoux very nice. Just out of the lee and bustle of the "geant" escape and via Malaucene to Carpentras through the fields and small villages. The climb is relaxed, a good road surface and a nice viewpoint with a view on the Dentelles de Montmirail. The descent is great for cruising and then driving through the villages.
Als opwarmer voordat je de Ventoux gaat doen erg leuk. Even uit de luwte en drukte van de "geant" ontsnappen en via Malaucene naar Carpentras door de velden en de kleine dorpjes. De klim is relaxed, een goed wegdek en een leuk uitzichtspunt met zicht op de Dentelles de Montmirail. De afdaling is heerlijk om te cruisen en daarna door de dorpjes te rijden.
Nice and short climb. Very quiet track, the descent afterwards is rather hilly with lots of turns.
Leuk en kort klimmetje. Zeer rustige baan, de afdaling nadien is eerder glooiend met veel bochtenwerk.

Nice climb to warm up for the Ventoux. At the moment, the descent towards Beaume de Venise is very dangerous because there is a new layer of gravel with a lot of loose gravel (will probably be swept away one day).
Mooie klim om op te warmen voor de Ventoux. Op dit moment is de afdaling richting Beaume de Venise erg gevaarlijk omdat er een nieuwe laag grind ligt met heel veel los grind (wordt waarschijnlijk ooit een keer schoon geveegd)
Beautiful views, especially if you continue to Suzette and descend to Beaumes-de-Venise. Road surface is good, occasionally some rough bumps in the road.
Prachtige uitzichten, zeker als je verder doorrijdt naar Suzette en afdaalt naar Beaumes-de-Venise. Wegdek is goed, af en toe wat grove hobbels in de weg.
Road is indeed completely fine. And both last year and this year in late June/early July there was very little traffic. Might be due to the time of year?
Weg is inderdaad helemaal in orde. En zowel vorig jaar als dit jaar in eind juni/begin juli was er weinig verkeer. Ligt misschien aan de tijd van het jaar?
I think there is a new road surface here, it is narrow with traffic but the road surface is certainly not bad (anymore).
Volgens mijn ligt hier een nieuw wegdek, het is wel nauw met verkeer maar slecht is het wegdek zeker niet (meer).
