Nice climb, never too steep and never flat. To the top I found the road surface good, to the bottom not.
Many cars indeed, if you want to avoid it, you can do it via Traverse la Roche, but that side is heavier.
Toffe klim, nooit te steil en nooit vlak. Naar boven vond ik het wegdek goed, naar beneden niet.
Veel auto's inderdaad, als je het wilt vermijden kan je hem via Traverse la Roche doen, maar die kant is wel zwaarder.
A climb that is almost unavoidable if you are in the area. It is the through road from La Bresse to Gerardmer and that is noticeable by the traffic. You have most of the climb the town of La Bresse right below you and that gives some nice views. The climb itself goes up evenly with about 6 percent, where the bad road surface makes it feel even heavier.
Een klim die bijna niet te vermijden is als je in buurt zit. Het is de doorgaande weg van La Bresse naar Gerardmer en dat is te merken aan het verkeer. Je hebt het grootste deel van de klim het stadje La Bresse rechtsonder je en dat geeft wel mooie uitzichten. De klim zelf loopt gelijkmatig met een procentje of 6 omhoog, waarbij het slechte wegdek het nog wel wat zwaarder aan doet voelen.
A fairly even and not too steep climb with few bends, so that almost all the time you have a beautiful view on your right side over the valley and the green hills in the vicinity.
Just a pity about the rather busy traffic.
Een vrij gelijkmatige en niet te steile klim met weinig bochtenwerk, waardoor je bijna heel de tijd op je rechterkant een prachtig uitzicht hebt over de vallei en de groene heuvels in de omgeving.
Enkel jammer van het vrij drukke verkeer.
In the direction of Gerardmer you have to cross it. Along a busy road it is not fun climbing, but if you just need some extra height to reach for example the 3000 meters it is worth it.
Richting Gerardmer moet je er eens overheen. Langs een drukke weg is het niet leuk klimmen, maar als je nog net wat hoogtemeters nodig hebt om bijvoorbeeld de 3000 aan te tikken is het toch de moeite
