Sospel, one of the must-see base camps!
From Menton, it can be reached via the Col de Castillon. A pass that never hurts. It's a gentle, pleasant climb on a road that's in good condition, but there's nothing breathtaking about it.
Be careful to turn right after Castillon so that you don't end up like me under the bridge, which is closed to bikes. This tunnel actually goes around the pass...

Depuis Menton, on y accède par ce col de Castillon. Un col qui ne fait jamais mal. Une ascension douce et plaisante sur une route en bel état mais qui, pour autant, ne nous présente rien d’époustouflant.
Attention à tourner à droite après Castillon afin de ne pas se retrouver comme moi sous le pont interdit aux vélos. Ce tunnel contourne justement le col…
La descente sur Sospel est toute douce aussi. Les virages très amples. Une descente très reposante.
