Regular and constant ascent...average gradients of around 10％ with peaks of 15％...at the moment in Civiglio the road is closed and so you can only go up from Como and back down to Como...practically the first 4 km of the Brunate-Cao route that I avoid when the temperatures are too low because of the cold I would suffer on the descent
Salita regolare e costante...pendenze medie intorno al 10％ con punte al 15％...al momento a Civiglio la strada è chiusa e quindi si può solo salire da Como e ridiscendere a Como...praticamente sono i primi 4 km. della Brunate-Cao che evito quando le temperature sono troppo basse per il freddo che patirei in discesa
The climb was tought, after Madonna del Ghisaldo and Muro di Sormano. It has south exposition and no shade, so the sun was burning. I had 36 degrees Celcius there, despite the fact that in Bellagio it was only 24. Italians are very friendly there. I asked a water from 2 guys minding their business in garages near the road and they happily shared a tap water, which saves my day as there are no shops on the route.
Very tough climb, also famous because it was done in Lombardy! Never gives up a metre, bad, many ramps at 13/15％ ...very satisfying to reach the top given the effort required. Quite busy, you can then continue to brunate/cao or descend along the route of the autumn classic. Worth a try
Salita molto dura, famosa anche perchè fatta nel Lombardia! Non molla mai un metro, cattiva, molte rampe al 13/15％ ...da molta soddisfazione arrivare in cima dato lo sforzo necessario. Abbastanza trafficata, si può proseguire poi per brunate/cao o scendere lungo il percorso della classica d'autunno. Da provare
The climb to Civiglio is a tough one! Most of the time, we are above 9％. And frankly the road is not so good... too much traffic, too many cars.
However, when you are at the top (in Civiglio), you must not stop. You must continue to Brunate ! The view is superb and the small roads to get there too 😉

La montée vers Civiglio, c'est du costaud ! La plupart du temps, on est au-dessus de 9％. Et franchement la route est pas terrible ... trop de trafic, trop de voitures.
Par contre, quand vous êtes en haut (à Civiglio), il ne faut pas vous arrêter. Vous vous devez de continuer jusqu'à Brunate ! Le point de vue est superbe et les petites routes pour y arriver aussi 😉
