Spicy climb especially with heat, from Cannero straight uphill, after the top towards Verbania still treacherous stretches of bad road, and precipices, descent towards Verbania lovely. All in all, fine climbing.
Pittige klim zeker met hitte, vanaf Cannero direct flink stijgen, na de top richting Verbania nog verraderlijke stukken slechte weg, en afgronden, afdaling richting Verbania heerlijk. Al met al prima klimwerk.
Two-faced coin climb. 1/2: "beautiful training" constant in terms of slope (~10％), lake view, sunny. 2/2: "fight for top" with ramps to 15％, narrow shady road in woods, mountain view. A tribute to lake Maggiore area.
Nice climb. Barely below 9％ on fairly quiet road. Lovely to rise above Lago Majore at a rapid pace. After 7km into the forest quite steep with 16％+ sections. Not too many cars. Road surface moderate.
Mooie klim. Vanwege hitte en luchtvochtigheid wel een voor de ochtend. Nauwelijks onder de 9％ op redelijk rustige weg. Heerlijk om in rap tempo boven Lago Majore uit te stijgen. Na 7km in het bos flink steil met 16％+ stukken. Niet al te veel auto’s. Wegdek matig.
Beautiful and not easy climb, at times very scenic over Lake Maggiore, at times passing through cool forests, today also through the clouds 😊.
Bellissima e non semplice salita, a tratti molto panoramica sul Lago Maggiore, a tratti passando per freschi boschi, oggi anche tra le nuvole 😊.
Enjoyed this climb. Quite a lot of shade at the top, through the forest. Road surface really moderate, for climbing fine, descending better on side of Verbiana.
Genoten van deze klim. Bovenin ook redelijk veel schaduw, door stuk door het bos. Wegdek echt matig, voor klimmen prima, dalen beter aan kant van Verbiana.
This is a tough climb that is not for everyone. Many parts are above 10％ so I was happy with my 33 rear gear. Once you get to the top, you have a view over Lago Maggiore. The road surface is in poor condition so I would not want to descend here.
Dit is een taaie klim die niet voor iedereen weggelegd is. Veel stukken boven de 10％ dus ik was blij met mn 33 verzet achter. Eenmaal boven kijk je uit over Lago Maggiore. Het wegdek is in matige conditie dus ik zou hier niet af willen dalen.
