This is a short but testing climb up to St Bartholomew's Church, and as there is no road on the other side of Chosen Hill you will have to come back down the same way. Surface is not the best so it's worth making a few mental notes of any major potholes for the descent. Although this largely tree-lined hill is short, it is also quite steep and, whatever the stats say it feels like mid and upper teen percentages most of the time. At the top the road opens out into a car park used for the Church and by dog walkers. At this point it is absolutely worth taking five minutes to walk into the Churchyard to admire the panoramic view across Gloucestershire towards Wales, Worcestershire and the Cotswolds, before heading back down Chosen Hill.
