Besides the 3 different endpoints, theVal di Cogne, side valley of the wide Aosta Valley, also has the climb to Chenabert /Turlin to offer along the way.
This turns off the SR47 main road after only about 4 km where you started solidly in Aymavilles to climb into/up the Cogne side valley.
After the turn-off, it continues with a series of hairpin bends through uninhabited forest and rock massif before cycling in a long left turn into an open plain, overlooking the snow-capped peaks of the Gran Paradiso National Park, to Ozein. This inhabited village with several hamlets is sprawling at different altitude levels through which you climb via hairpin turns. Last kilometres flatten out a bit and turn back parallel to the Aosta valley. From there, there are beautiful views of your starting point and the famous peaks (Mont Blanc/Monte Rosa ) alongside the wide valley.
End point is dead-end in Turlin with barely any life in a few chalets but there is a water source.
There is hardly any traffic on the way on the fine tarmac and no provisioning possibility .

Hidden in the landscape climb with no extreme percentages with wonderful panoramic views of both Cogne and the Aosta Valley.
