A sporty and interesting climb, but difficult to access, along a very narrow road in a hollow in a wood. Avoid going downhill in wet weather: the earth drips from the embankments along the road and the road becomes particularly muddy and slippery.
Montée sportive et intéressante mais difficile d'accès, le long d'une route très étroite en chemin creux dans un bois. À éviter dans le sens de la descente par temps humide : la terre dégouline alors des talus qui bordent la route et celle-ci devient alors particulièrement boueuse et glissante.

The Bois du Vicaire is about the only road connecting Nivelles and Braine-l'Alleud by racing bike. In a no man's land, you climb between high verges in a dark forest to a big riding school. Short, but very powerful climb and ideal as a warming-up for the heavier mountains around Braine-l'Alleud. At the top you come to a beautiful road on the ridge between the fields: a hidden gem behind the Hallerbos.
De Bois du Vicaire is zowat de enige verbindingsweg toegankelijk met de koersfiets tussen de Nijvelse en Eigenbrakelse steenwegen. In zowaar niemandsland klim je tussen hoge bermen in een donker bos naar een grote manege. Kort, maar zeer krachtige klim en ideaal als opwarmer voor de zwaardere bergjes rondom Kasteelbrakel. Boven kom je op een prachtige weg op de heuvelrug tussen de velden: een verborgen pareltje achter het Hallerbos.
