A bit of a kicker up to Chearsley having descended from Chilton at high speed. You can't carry much speed into the climb because the flat part at the bottom is too long. However it's all nice countryside round here, and views are nice from this climb. The bridge at the bottom floods in winter, and it can be deep. There's a slightly raised walkway at the side (that can also be flooded when it's really wet). This is a nice climb though, and arguably more pleasant than the drag... read more

This is a nice climb though, and arguably more pleasant than the drag up over the railway bridge on the direct Long Crendon to Chearsley road, despite being steeper.

A short little punch. Some nice scenery to surround, and much quieter than the Long Crendon to Chearsley Road, so take this road instead.
