A fine, relatively difficult climb, with gradients approaching those of the Kesselberg (with the advantage of not being a cul-de-sac). Personally, I prefer it to the classic Chartreuzeberg.
Belle montée relativement difficile, avec des pourcentages qui s'approchent de ceux du Kesselberg (avec l'avantage de ne pas être en cul-de-sac). Personnellement je la préfère au Chartreuzeberg classique.
Heavier alternative to the Chartreuzeberg from Holsbeek. The wide track tries to hide the high gradients, but you soon feel the mean steepness of the climb as you approach the line of trees.
Personally I prefer to ride via the other route, the right angle has more charm.
Zwaarder alternatief voor de Chartreuzeberg vanuit Holsbeek. De brede baan probeert de hoge stijgingspercentages te verbergen, maar je voelt al snel dat het gemeen steil oploopt naarmate je de bomenrij opzoekt.
Persoonlijk rijdt ik liever via de andere route, de haakse bocht heeft meer charme.
Slightly shorter and steeper alternative to the classic Chartreuse climb.
Turns right halfway through the straight approach through the residential street to the statue of Christ, to climb in a left turn with double percentage figures through the woods with some villas and to end on the same ridge.
The spur after the highest point in Kapeldreef also ends perpendicular to the Chartreuse mountain (street).

Draait halfweg de rechte aanloop door de woonstraat naar het Christusbeeld rechts af om in een linksdraaiende bocht met dubbele percentagecijfers te klimmen door de bossen met enkele villa's en te eindigen op dezelfde heuvelrug.
Uitloper na het hoogste punt in de Kapeldreef eindigt ook loodrecht op de Chartreuzeberg(straat).
Less known than the Chartreuze, but all the more steep. The part from the linske bend in the forest is not to be underestimated. A real classic in the area and that bit harder than the classic Chartreuze.
Minder bekend dan de Chartreuze, maar des te steiler. Het stuk vanaf de linske bocht in het bos is niet te onderschatten. Een echte klassieker in de buurt en dat tikkeltje zwaarder dan de klassieke Chartreuze.
The Kapeldreef could also be called Kapelmuur because you are literally standing in front of a wall.
Nice if you are in the neighbourhood, but it cuts your legs off with sections well above 10％
Climb it regularly with the mountenbike ( you ride between the trees in a chic residential avenue , wide tarmac road.
De Kapeldreef zou ook Kapelmuur kunnen noemen want je staat letterlijk voor een muur.
Leuk als je in de buurt bent maar hij snijdt de benen af met stukjes ruim boven de 10％
Beklim hem regelmatig met de mountenbike ( je rijdt tussen de bomen in een chique woondreef , brede asfaltweg.
A nice alternative for always the Chartreuze. This road to the same ridge is shorter but much steeper.
Een leuk alternatief voor altijd de Chartreuze. Deze weg naar dezelfde heuvelrug is korter maar veel steiler.
