Short climb from the centre of touristy Dinant starting at the back of the railway station.
Steep climb out of town, with great views of the citadel and church on the other side of the Meuse, followed by long left turn where the road flattens out to reach the highest point in a new residential area on the plateau.

Stevig klimmend de stad uit, met prachtig zicht op de citadel en de kerk aan de overzijde van de Maas, gevolgd door lange linkse bocht waarin de weg afvlakt om in een nieuwe woonwijk op het plateau het hoogste punt te bereiken.
It's a nice climb, in a very beautiful setting, with beautiful views over the Meuse valley and the city of Dinant. It's a small road that leads to a mostly residential area, so there is little traffic.
C'est une jolie montée, dans un très beau cadre, avec de beaux panoramas sur la vallée de la Meuse ainsi que sur la ville de Dinant. Il s'agit d'une petite route qui amène à un quartier surtout résidentiel, donc avec peu de trafic.
Nice, but tough climb. And a good alternative for the busy road across the railway straight out of Dinant (which is also a big climb). Immediately after the railway you turn sharp right and you have to change gears directly and climb steeply. The buildings make the climb even more striking, which I always find a challenging sight. This is really a typical climb: a village in the valley from up, and halfway considerably weakening. So the first part you really have to choose whether you want to go on the power (and really go into acid, knowing that this is at most 1 km) or whether you choose a comfortable climbing gear, with which you can really do this climb well. If you turn away from the valley, where Dinant is located, the climb quickly becomes less difficult. You then ride through a suburb and once you're through that, you're really at the top.
Mooie, wel pittige klim. En een prima alternatief voor de drukke weg over het spoor rechtdoor Dinant uit (wat ook wel flink klimmen is). Direct over het spoor ga je scherp rechtsaf en moet je direct terug schakelen en stevig omhoog. Met de bebouwing valt de stijging extra op, wat ikzelf altijd wel een uitdagend gezicht vind. Dit is echt zo’n typische klim: een dorp in het dal uit omhoog, die halverwege flink afzwakt. Het eerste deel moet je dus echt kiezen of je op de macht wil (en je echt in het zuur wilt gaan, wetende dat dit maximaal 1 kilometer is) of dat je kiest voor een comfortabel klimverzet, waarmee je deze klim echt goed kan doen. Als je afbuigt vanaf het dal, waarin Dinant ligt, wordt de klim snel minder zwaar. Je rijdt dan nog door een buitenwijk en als je daar door bent, ben je wel echt ongeveer op de top.
