I really like this climb. Turn opposite the Rhudry common car park and up to the farm. The gate is often closed at the bottom but it is a right of way. The road on the Caerphilly side is good. The Cardiff side is awful! If you detour onto the Ridgeway with a Gravel or Mountain bike the views of Cardiff and the Severn are awesome!... read more

I really like this climb. Turn opposite the Rhudry common car park and up to the farm. The gate is often closed at the bottom but it is a right of way. The road on the Caerphilly side is good. The Cardiff side is awful! If you detour onto the Ridgeway with a Gravel or Mountain bike the views of Cardiff and the Severn are awesome!
