Much (mwah relatively than) used cycle route - purely on bike paths and bike lanes - between Laurensberg and the RWTH site because it runs nicely and there are no traffic lights. Lots of green along the route and the tunnel is a nice and unusual addition on the one hand, but on the other hand you do suffer from quite a bit of noise from the car traffic next to it. In terms of gradient, not really exciting. The "steepest" part is just after the tunnel.
