During the ascent, various peaks of the Laga Mountains can be admired, but above all, on arrival there is the splendid Lake Campotosto, an artificial basin at about 1400 metres, with several dams and a road bridge crossing it; from some points of the lake there is a splendid panorama of the northern peaks of the Gran Sasso, visible from the side.
Durante la salita si possono ammirare diverse cime dei Monti della Laga, ma soprattutto all'arrivo c'è lo splendido Lago di Campotosto, un bacino artificiale a 1400 metri circa, con diverse dighe e un ponte stradale che lo attraversa; da alcuni punti del lago c'è uno splendido panorama delle vette settentrionali del Gran Sasso, visibile lateralmente.
